Valdichiana Aglione
Our love for our land has given rise to a product of excellence.
Valdichiana aglione is a giant garlic with a delicate, sweet flavor. It is particularly suited to traditional Tuscan cuisine and is considered the ideal substitute for garlic in many recipes. Due to its delicate flavor and the advantage of not leaving a bad smell in the mouth, it is nicknamed “kissing garlic.”
Aglione della Valdichiana is characterized by ivory-white bulbs and can weigh up to 800 g. It has a round, regular shape and is divided into a few very large cloves (usually 4-6).

Our farm
The farm was founded in 1971 by brothers Nicola and Quirino La Rocca.
They started out growing a small amount of vegetables on about 3 hectares of land, and over the years they purchased new land and always kept an eye on new market demands. They grew tobacco, tomatoes, peppers, potatoes, cucumbers, zucchini, etc. Today, the farm covers about 300 hectares and is run by us, the children of Nicola and Quirino: Federico, Alessio, Elena, and Alessandra.
